This post is dedicated to keeping the holiday spirit alive. We did so many great things – sunset sailing on the Hudson River, cheese tasting at one of the city's most famous cheese shops, endless wandering around the Metropolitan Museum of Art – arguably one of the world's best museums (with a Martini bar on the rooftop.). Oh and did I mention the food? The food.
Here's the view across Manhattan and Central Park from the Met Museum's rooftop.
Yes - this is Don Draper's real office! It was on display at the Museum of the Moving Image, in an area called Astoria in Queens, also home to the historic Kaufman Studios (totally random fact thrown in there).
Evidence of an obligatory first-night trip up the Empire State Building – that view.
Here are some shots of our time gallery hopping in Chelsea, an area in downtown Manhattan filled with lots of art spaces, which open late every Thursday night when they hold receptions for their new shows. It's great – you make a plan, and skip from gallery to gallery, enjoying a glass of wine in each if you want.
