Inside London's First Ever Cat Cafe

I'm a cat person, so am excited to find out about Lady Dinah's Cat Cafe in Shoreditch, London's first-ever cat café! It takes inspiration from the Japanese who are already BIG on this kind of thing – apparently it's a trend that started out in Osaka 10 years ago. The idea is that you book a 90-minute slot so you can relax, eat and drink in the company of the café's 12 resident felines.

Aussie Lauren Pears opened the cafe early last year by raising £108K through a crowdfunding campaign, with 3000 bookings made in the first 4.5 hours after it announced its opening day. Until I plan my visit, I couldn't resist a little peek inside to meet the friendly pets.

Lady Dinah's serves afternoon and high tea and sells an... interesting selection of memorabilia, such as necklaces, fridge magnets, totes bags, and mugs... must-buys for any cat and kitsch lover.

You'll find Lady Dinah's at 152 Bethnal Green Road, Shoreditch.

Dreaming of Sunny Adventures...
