High School Fashion, Circa 1969

I can't believe it's September already! Summer seems to have flown past and I'm in complete denial winter is on the way... so today let's keep that summer feeling alive for as
long as possible, starting with a look at some faded Technicolour photos of 1969 high school fashion. They were taken by legendary LIFE photographer, Arthur Schatz (great name) to document emerging fashion trends at the time and are bursting with that warm California summer glow.

  2. Having been around during this time in our fashion history...it was a time of self expression, that's for sure!! I dressed really cool for the very conservative town I grew up in, in Connecticut. Feeling quite "in my own world". Also dressing somewhat conservative when I did...I still felt...odd there. What a time!! I only wish I still had my clothes and so forth. You can find much of this on Etsy!!
