Abandoned LA Home Art Installation

I love an art installation (like these infinity mirrored rooms and hanging flowers) and am fascinated by abandoned buildings (especially these ones in Porto), so was intrigued to read
about this incredible abandoned LA home art installation – After You Left – by an artist called Alex Hartley at Victoria Miro in London.

The crumbling Modernist home sits in a green-mossy swap and is completely overgrown by palm trees, ferms, tropical plants, tree roots and branches. It feels at once creepy and beautiful as the light streams through the windows and leaves. As Alex wanted, the scene definitely feels incongruous to the modern block of flats behind the gallery.

The show is on until 16 December.

Psst. Another incredible installation: The New York corner shop made of felt
